ARAMARK's Offshore and Remote Sites division looks after the thousands of employees who work on offshore gas and oil installations and in the marine industry. In the UK, we service business off the coasts of Aberdeen, Blackpool, Hull and Great Yarmouth.
International offshore and remote operations are also based in Denmark and the Middle East, the Middle East business encompasses service provision in UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabian waters.
There are over 1,000 employees working either offshore or in offshore operations. The services provided are varied. Hotel and catering services and facilities management are the key activities but these can include anything from heli-deck management and equipment provision to gym equipment maintenance and architectural accommodation refurbishment.
Critical to the success of our Offshore business is its continued commitment to health and safety. The British Safety Council awarded 5 Stars in 2007 and the division has enjoyed consistent Investor in People accreditation since 1998. In 2008, Offshore was awarded the British Safety Council's Sword of Honour, one of only 40 awarded globally.
Our Offshore team has won the RoSPA Hotel and Catering Sector Award for Occupational Health and Safety for six of the last seven years, the RoSPA 2007 Scotland Trophy for Occupational Health and Safety for all industries, which it also won in 2005, and was one of three teams to be shortlisted for the 2007 Sir George Earle Trophy for consistent high performance in the field of health and safety across all industries in the UK. In 2009, the Offshore team achieved RoSPA's President's Award for achieving 12 consecutive gold RoSPA Awards.
