ARAMARK's Defence Services division has more than 45 contracts in 82 locations across the UK, employing over 3,500 people. We provide services to the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force through a mixture of contracts, either directly with the Ministry of Defence, as sub contractors to a prime contractor such as Fleet Support Limited or NAAFI or in PFI situations.
Our primary focus is on providing catering, retail and leisure propositions (CRL) in either integrated solutions or as simple stand-alone services. Our capability ranges from large multi-activity contracts, that can include cleaning and waste management as well as CRL, and extend to pest control, laundry and dry cleaning, tailoring, grounds maintenance, reprographics, supply services, housekeeping and reception services.
The Defence team was recently selected to run Junior Ranks, Clubs and SPAR shops as a sub-contract to NAAFI on its remaining estate in mainland UK. The majority of these outlets are on RAF Stations but also include a number of Army locations and the major Royal Naval base of Faslane in the British Isles. The outlets were mobilised by ARAMARK between January and March 2008.
