Our customers range from students in further education and patients in hospitals to army officers and investment bankers. Whatever the nature of our clients’ business, ARAMARK works in partnership with them to deliver the perfect, tailored service.
Business and Industry
ARAMARK works with a broad spectrum of clients in the business and industry sector. Whether at a bank or a 24-hour distribution centre, we tailor our services to ensure that our offer matches the customer base and location.
From directors’ dining and bespoke hospitality solutions to multi-site, multi-tenanted contracts, we will work in partnership with our clients to meet their needs and those of the employees, our customers.
As well as food service, ARAMARK’s Business Services team has expertise in providing additional services as part of a managed solution. Tasks such as grounds maintenance, reception duties, cleaning and housekeeping are not part of our clients’ core activities but are something that ARAMARK can easily manage.
As our solutions are tailor-made to meet clients’ individual requirements, they can range from management of office cleaning, janitorial services, conference rooms, and mail rooms, to reception and switchboard services, setting up and managing help desks, catering, vending and hospitality solutions.
Defence
ARAMARK’s Defence division has more than 40 contracts across the UK, employing over 2,500 people. We work with clients including the Ministry of Defence to deliver a range of services through a single integrated contract.
The division encourages its people to show initiative, to provide tailored service delivery at local level, leading to great innovation and new ways to reduce costs and improve services. Amongst the large range of services we provide are catering, retail and leisure, cleaning, waste management, pest control, laundry and dry cleaning, tailoring, grounds maintenance, reprographics, range de-leading, housekeeping, reception services and nursery services.
Education
The food service solutions ARAMARK’s Education team implements within each establishment are determined specifically for that particular student or pupil market. We offer a number of different food types and styles from authentic ethnic cuisine to high street retail brands such as Starbucks all under the banner – ‘feeding the body...fuelling the mind’.
We have approximately 70 contracts across England and Wales, ranging from independent schools and further education colleges to universities and halls of residences.
Over 1,000 employees deliver our services to students. We successfully provide conferencing and hospitality catering services as part of the commercial development of our clients’ facilities. The catering provided ranges from simple hot beverage services to large scale, high quality wedding receptions, graduation ceremonies and summer schools.
Healthcare
Our Healthcare division works with a variety of clients in the care sector, including NHS trusts, hospitals, residential care homes and The Salvation Army. There are currently over 40 contracts, employing approximately 645 team members.
As well as cooking and serving patient and residents’ meals, ARAMARK runs coffee shops and staff and visitors restaurants, retail shops, hospitality and conferencing services. These are enhanced with facilities services such as laundry, linen, cleaning, porterage, security and reception and helpdesk provision.
Judicial
Our Judicial division has 165 contracts delivering services to clients including Her Majesty’s Court Services and the Police Service. Our offering ranges from the delivery of full food service across our HMP locations (staff and inmates) and Crown and Magistrates Courts (staff, jurors and visitors) to a prison shops service supplying goods to 55,000 prison inmates, and soft facilities management such as cleaning.
As well as delivering these core services, members of the ARAMARK Judicial team are certified to teach NVQ qualifications to prisoners and clients in both the Catering and the Warehousing and Distribution subject areas.
Offshore
ARAMARK’s Offshore division looks after the thousands of employees who work on offshore gas and oil platforms. There are 800 employees working either offshore or in offshore operations. The services provided are varied. Hotel and catering services and facilities management are the key activities but these can include anything from heli-deck management and weather forecasting to gym equipment maintenance and accommodation refurbishment.
Critical to the success of our Offshore business is its continued commitment to health and safety. Our Offshore team has won the RoSPA Hotel and Catering Sector Award for Occupational Health and Safety for five of the last six years, the RoSPA 2007 Scotland Trophy for Occupational Health and Safety for all industries, which it also won in 2005, and this year was one of three teams to be shortlisted for the 2007 Sir George Earle Trophy for consistent high performance in the field of health and safety across all industries in the UK.
