Signalling another accolade for food and facilities management company, ARAMARK; Susan Elston, Managing Director, Offshore and Remote Sites, enjoyed a double celebration at the recent Institute of Directors Awards' held at the Crown Plaza in Glasgow.
In recognition of her services to Scotland and as a business leader, Elston was honoured as winner of both the 'Scottish Enterprise Female Director Award' and the Clydesdale Bank Regional Award for Aberdeen and Grampian.
Elston spoke of her pride in being chosen for these awards whilst reinforcing that that there is no 'i' in 'team'…
"We have a great team here at ARAMARK, which is totally dedicated to its customers, the business community that we serve and everyone who works in the business" she said. "And, it's a real honour that we've been recognised in this way".
Andrew Main, Chief Executive Officer, ARAMARK, reinforced: "Both accolades are so well deserved and indicative of the hard work and dedication Susan has in leading her team and the success and ongoing commitment she inspires in order to deliver the best service from the best people".
The IoD Director of the Year Awards were conceived in 2004 by IoD Scotland, to recognise and celebrate excellence at director level within the private, public and voluntary sectors, and across the Scottish regions.
Elston has been with ARAMARK since October 1999. Her role puts her at the forefront of business development and customer service values across ARAMARK's offshore business – in the management of hotel services, feeding, housekeeping and soft facilities around oil and gas installations, as far away as Norway and the Middle East.
