ARAMARK has been granted a two-year extension of its integrated services contract for the Ministry of Defence's Mid-Hants SMAC operation.
The seven sites covered by the deal collectively form one of ARAMARK's largest defence contracts and see the company providing facilities management, food and retail services to the armed forces.
ARAMARK's work in the defence sector sees the company providing efficient and cost-effective support services which help ensure the smooth running of military bases. Among the many activities the company delivers within the Mid-Hants contract are catering facilities including fine dining; retail convenience stores; bars; cleaning services; accommodation management; laundry; tailoring and waste management.
"Key to our success is a deep knowledge of the defence sector, real partnership with our clients and a friendly and highly professional team" says Lawrence Shirazian, Regional Managing Director, ARAMARK Ltd. "Quite rightly, the military expects exemplary service and great flexibility to meet its changing requirements. That's what we provide and why our work with Mid-Hants is set to continue."
Within Mid-Hants, ARAMARK provides services at Land HQ, Andover; Worthy Down, ATR Winchester; Middle Wallop; Bordon Garrison; Thorney Island and Marchwood. ARAMARK's first contract at Mid-Hants began in 2005.
The company works at defence sites across the UK, making it one of the country's leading providers of integrated services to the MoD.
