Andrew Main, Chief Executive Officer at ARAMARK said:
“It is a great tribute to our entire UK team of colleagues to have been recognised once more at these prestigious awards. We pride ourselves on our high standards of safety in the workplace and in the systems and processes we have in place which have contributed to our success. Everyone has worked immensely hard to achieve this recognition and we are particularly proud of the way everyone is putting the safety of themselves and their colleagues first.
“This has been a particularly successful year for the company with ARAMARK Offshore picking up the ‘Presidents’ award. The business works incredibly hard to uphold ambitious goals to continuously improve health and safety, engaging the entire Offshore workforce from board level downwards, sharing learning’s across the business and embedding strategic plans to develop best practice, compliance reporting, leadership and safety mentoring.”
The ARAMARK Offshore team is no stranger to success having won the Sector Award six years out of the last seven and the Scotland Trophy in both 2005 and 2007 for its health and safety standards, a finalist for 2007’s highly coveted Sir George Earle Trophy, achieving a highly commended and recognised as an overall winner at the Scottish Offshore Achievement Awards. Also winning the International Safety award at the British Safety Council.
David Rawlings, RoSPA Awards Manager, said:
“ARAMARK has shown a commitment to protecting the health and wellbeing of its employees and others. Entering the RoSPA Awards reinforces the message that good health and safety is good for business, and clearly demonstrates an organisations dedication to improving performance in this crucial area.”
