ARAMARK, the award-winning managed food service company, has won the prestigious Scottish Offshore Achievement Award.
Established in 1985 by Scotland’s main enterprise and investment agency, Scottish Enterprise, the Scottish Offshore Achievement Awards is ’the oscars’ for the oil and gas industry. The awards recognise outstanding innovation, achievement and success from organisations and people who work across the sector.
After being highly commended in the ‘Safety’ and ‘Success through People’ categories, ARAMARK Offshore, with its Head Office in Aberdeen, was awarded the ‘Overall Achievement’ Award.
With challenging criteria to meet, winning the award was certainly no easy task explains Susan Elston, Managing Director for Offshore: “This award is testament to the consistent high-level of performance that ARAMARK Offshore personnel have been able to demonstrate over a number of years.”
“The whole of ARAMARK Offshore has worked diligently to demonstrate that safety as well as learning and development is of utmost importance to any organisation. In order to attain the awards, we looked at every process within safety and employee development.
“This meant scrutinising and completing assessments on all aspects of safety tasks, including routine procedures and also demonstrating how employee learning and development programmes support long-term business plans. We have put strategic programmes in place to support this and worked continuously to implement them.
“The team worked passionately to achieve this award - it was a personal challenge for everyone. This recognition has made it all worthwhile.”
