ARAMARK Secures NAAFI Contract

11/06/2008

ARAMARK announces it has secured the contract to run Junior Ranks’ Clubs and SPAR Shops on the majority of RAF Stations in the British Isles.

Running the facilities on behalf of NAAFI, ARAMARK is now responsible for the sub-contract and has already put in place big plans for the outlets to bring their offer up-to-date with modern, retailing standards and meet the expectations of Service personnel and their families.

To help re-establish the shops and clubs as the lifeline of the bases, the food service company will provide much needed daily necessities as well as introducing new and exciting products.

Passionate about revolutionising and modernising the current offering Peter Scargill at ARAMARK said: "The opportunity to make a difference to the service that each retail outlet and Club provides is huge. We are bringing the shops and clubs in line with the high street and have already had a positive response to our compelling deals and exciting new lines of products. Customers are at the centre of our plans and we are determined to keep improving our offers.

"We are providing customers with the option to buy hot food and drink on the go – with new coffee options and hot food initiatives, including healthier options, and more choice on non-alcoholic beverages," continued Scargill.

"We are also looking at individual units and making improvements, where feasible, based on local requirements, such as tailoring opening hours to suit people on the base. It is important to us that the service is both convenient and relevant," concluded Scargill.
