ARAMARK has announced it has been recognised with a 2007 Company Award at the recent Craft Guild of Chefs AGM Honours and Awards lunch.
Nick Vadis, Chairman of the Craft Guild of Chefs, presented the award at The Royal Lancaster Hotel in London in respect of the company's commitment to providing excellence in the catering sector. The Guild revealed that ARAMARK's internal training programme to help develop and nurture industry talent was one of the main reasons it strongly felt the company should be commended.
The Guild was also particularly impressed by the business commitment to its Annual Chef of the Year competition which acknowledges the outstanding achievements and talents of its own workforce, as well as its New Chef of the Year award designed to recognise new talent. In addition the Guild praised ARAMARK's support and encouragement of chefs keen to gain relevant industry qualifications and the company's continuing support of the Guild and its objectives.
Andrew Main, Chief Executive Officer, ARAMARK said, "Being honoured by the Craft Guild of Chefs is a great accolade for ARAMARK as it is one of the leading associations worldwide and extremely well regarded in the industry. We are honoured to have received the company award, it's a tribute to the hard work and dedication of the entire organisation over the past year and our commitment to cultivating new talent."
ARAMARK was recently awarded Cost Sector Catering’s Corporate Social Responsibility and the Contract Caterer Awards hot on the heels of winning two Scottish Institute of Directors Awards last month.
