We want all of our employees to feel that they can make a difference to the communities around them, while they go about their day-to-day work. Supporting charities is a great way to do this and something that the whole team can get involved in or something that individuals can do on their own.
Whilst we encourage everyone to support charities local to their homes or close to their hearts, we also think that it is important to have a range of nominated charities that we support centrally.
Our employees were involved in the process and our current company charities are:
Childline
This charity was nominated by our Education division. Childline is part of the NSPCC, but we feel by focusing on this specific project, we could really see where our money is going.
Macmillan Cancer Support
We had many suggestions of cancer charities to support, so we put the three top choices to the vote. Macmillan Cancer Support received over 50% of employees' votes.
RNLI
Business Services nominated this charity as we provide the hotel services at their training centre in Poole and they witness the fantastic work that takes place.
Soldiers, Sailors Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA)
Nominated by our Defence Services business, this charity supports our service men and women that are injured during the call of duty. These people give their lives for all of us, so we're very pleased to be able to support them.
Hospitality Action
Our industry charity that supports anyone working in the hospitality industry who may come into difficulties of any kind. We have supported HA for many years.
