I joined as a Kitchen Porter and was encouraged by my Head Chef and the company to study for Chef NVQ Level 1 & 2. Within two years I had been promoted to Commis Chef working across a variety of sections in one of our prestigious sites.
Just after completing my college course I entered and won the Regional Young Chef of the Year company competition and achieved 2nd place in the National final.
I really enjoy the pastry side and ARAMARK has recognised this by sponsoring my Pastry Level 3 studies. I have also just completed Advanced Food and Hygiene. I am now a Chef de Partie and really enjoy my job. It is never boring and you are always learning something new.
I look back and can't believe what I have achieved in such a short time.
